I’m Bekka, the photographer behind Forever You Studios in Kasson. Before your session, I love sitting down over coffee or ice cream to hear about your interests and what you have in mind. You don’t need to arrive with a location picked out. That’s something we can figure out together!

One: Berry and Bloom Farm: Whimsical Senior Photos in Chatfield, MN

Love flowers? This one might be your spot.

Berry and Bloom Farm in Chatfield has flower fields and a wildflower meadow that bring color and a little whimsy to your senior photos. It’s a lovely choice if you’re picturing something soft, playful, and surrounded by blooms.

A favorite dress, a casual outfit, or something with a little movement can all fit here. We’ll talk through your outfits so the flowers complement you and your personality still gets to shine.

The feel: Whimsical, colorful, and full of flowers.

Planning tip: What’s blooming changes throughout the season. We’ll check the farm’s photography availability and booking requirements before settling on a date.

Two: Downtown Rochester: Senior Pictures with an Urban Feel

More of a downtown person? We can do that, too.

Downtown Rochester is one of my favorite options for seniors who want an urban backdrop. Architecture, sidewalks, and the textures of the city give us a different feel from a field of flowers.

This could be a great fit if you love putting together outfits and want your photos to have a little city personality. Bring the jacket you love, your favorite sneakers, or an outfit that makes you feel amazing.

I’ll help choose our spots and find the light so your photographs stay crisp, clean, and focused on you.

The feel: Urban, textured, and a little more modern.

Planning tip: We’ll choose our meeting spot ahead of time and account for parking and walking between nearby backdrops.

Three: Oxbow Park: Outdoor Senior Photos near Byron, MN

If you want your senior pictures to feel like Minnesota, Oxbow Park is a favorite.

Located just north of Byron, the park has prairie and wooded hills that make a beautiful setting for outdoor senior portraits. Olmsted County, MN It’s an option I love for seniors who feel most comfortable with a little nature around them.

You don’t need an elaborate outfit or a pile of props. Your favorite clothes and a setting you enjoy can be plenty. And if you have something personal you’d like to include, tell me about it!

The feel: Natural, relaxed, and distinctly Minnesota.

Planning tip: Bring comfortable shoes for getting between photo spots, even if you plan to change into different shoes for your portraits.

Four: Chester Woods Park: Prairie and Trees near Rochester, MN

Love the idea of open grasses and beautiful trees? Chester Woods might be your spot.

This park outside Rochester is another favorite for senior photos with a natural Minnesota feel. The prairie brings a soft, open backdrop, while the trees give us a different look without changing locations.

Bring an outfit you feel great in, and we’ll find a little space for you to be yourself. I’ll help with the light, posing, and those little details along the way.

The feel: Relaxed, outdoorsy, and full of natural texture.

Planning tip: Bring comfortable shoes for walking between photo spots. You can always swap them out when we’re ready to take pictures!

Five: Mineral Springs Park: Rustic Senior Photos in Owatonna, MN

Rustic bridges, cute paths, and fall colors? Yes, please!

Mineral Springs Park in Owatonna is a favorite for seniors who want a wooded setting with a little extra character. The bridges and paths give us places to pause, walk, and create photographs that feel comfortable and personal.

And if you love fall, this is a lovely option to talk about. Those changing leaves bring beautiful color without taking the attention away from you.

The feel: Rustic, cozy, and especially lovely in fall.

Planning tip: If autumn colors are on your wish list, let’s talk early. The timing changes each year, so we’ll keep the season in mind as we plan.

Which Senior Photo Location Feels Like You?

Start with the setting you’re drawn to. Flowers and color? Berry and Bloom. City backdrops? Downtown Rochester. Prairie and trees? Oxbow Park.

And if your favorite place isn’t on this list, I’d love to hear about it. A sports field, your family’s property, or somewhere you spend time with friends might be just the right fit. We’ll talk through access, lighting, and what will work for your session.
