My love of photography started before I could hold a camera.
As a little girl, I was often photographed by my great-grandmother.
She had her own portrait studio and a basement darkroom where she developed her film. I still have some of her photographs and cameras today.
That early love of photography led me to Winona State University, where I earned my photojournalism degree in 2008 and learned to tell stories through images.
Hundreds of weddings, seniors, and families later, I still love putting those skills to work. When I notice a little detail that needs adjusting, I like to think some of my great-grandmother’s eye stayed with me.

A heart for the people in our community.
My husband and I spent years working in hospitality in Rochester, Minnesota. You never knew whether someone was catching up with an old friend or visiting Mayo Clinic, hoping to find answers. Whatever brought them to our table, I wanted to be the best part of their day.
That same care comes with me to every photo session. I want you to feel welcomed, listened to, and taken care of.
Our family of five calls Kasson home, and we love our small-town life. Spending time with friends and family, getting involved in our community, and finding ways to give back mean a lot to me.
Away from the camera, you might find me baking orders for Rise Above Baking Co. or planning our next family trip. Our motto is “work to live and live to vacation,” so we make room for a little adventure, too!
